Elections for the SAA Executive Board will be held on October 21st, 2019 at the SAA Office located at 217 S. Civic Drive in Schaumburg.  Polls will be open at exactly 7:30 pm and will remain open only until 7: 45 pm that evening.  

Who can vote: Any registered SAA member in Blue sombrero that is registered as a coach, volunteer, or each parent who has a player registered in SAA within the last 365 days

Details of the vote: Doors of the SAA office will open at exactly 7:30 pm and only those that were  in line up until 7:45 pm will be able to vote.  Each person will be verified in the SAA Blue Sombrero registration system by office staff before receiving a ballot.  Once verified each individual can cast one anonymous vote.

Election Rules for SAA Officers

A) At the General Board Meeting, held for the purpose of electing officers, voting shall be the right of any member of the SAA in attendance within 15-minutes of the published start time for the meeting. Each member shall be entitled to one (1) vote on each matter submitted to a vote of members, regardless of the number of sports the member is a participant or coach.

B) There shall be no proxies or absentee ballots.

C) Voting in the case of all contested elections shall be by secret ballot.

D) The nominee receiving a simple majority of the votes cast, shall be declared the winner. In the event no one nominee receives a simple majority, an immediate run-off shall be conducted between the two nominees receiving the most votes.
