Starting in 2012, 7th grade and up can use ONLY BBCOR certified, drop 3 bats.  Look for that sticker on any bat you purchase.  Barrel size can be up to 2 5/8ths.  Umpires watch for this and will call batters out if illegal bats are used.  This is for the safety of the players.
