Indoor Soccer 2021 Program Information
The SAA Recreational Indoor Soccer Program is a subsidiary activity governed by the SAA Recreational Soccer Board. Participation in the indoor program is voluntary and is open to all members of the SAA Recreational Soccer Program, as well as other residents of Schaumburg and surrounding communities. The indoor program is separate from the outdoor program and players registered in the outdoor program are not required to participate in the indoor program. Registration is on an individual basis with teams formed by the program administration.
The indoor program will consist of a 10-week session for Kindergarten through 8th grade teams. A coed, high school league will also be formed, but no skills training will be provided. There are no practices, only games on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays at 5:30, 6:20, 7:10, or 8:00.
All activities will take place at The Sport Center, the Schaumburg Park District's indoor facility located at 1141 W. Irving Park Rd. (next to the Schaumburg Airport). Game days will alternate weekly. All players will play at least one half of each game.
Indoor soccer is played a modern synthetic field turf. Players may wear either indoor soccer shoes or their outdoor soccer shoes, provided they are in clean condition. The league will provide a uniform consisting of a colored t-shirt and matching socks. Players will be required to provide their own black shorts which should be loose fitting and their length should be around the knees and shin guards.
Teams will be formed by player's grade. Players will not necessarily be placed with other players from their fall outdoor team. Teams will be Co-Ed for Kindergarten, 5th/6th, 7th/8th grade and high school leagues. Single gender teams between 1st and 4th grade will be setup provided there are enough players registered to accommodate this. Otherwise teams will be Co-Ed as well.  Divisions will be formed for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade, 3rd and 4th grade, 5th and 6th grade, 7th and 8th grade, and high school age groups. The indoor game is played with a smaller number of players than the standard outdoor game. Games of 4 vs. 4 (Pre-K-2nd), 7 vs. 7 (3rd-8th) and 6 vs. 6 (HS) are planned for the indoor program.
