Thank you for your continued patience. The effects of COID-19 on our planning process has been challenging. Until the State of Illinois reached Level 4 of the restore Illinois opening plan, the path forward was unclear. Though there are still challenges ahead of us, we are happy to report that Schaumburg Soccerfest 2020 will proceed.
This year’s tournament will require full cooperation from every team, coach, club and spectators. Due to Illinois Youth Soccer Association (IYSA) and State of Illinois requirements, temperature screenings and social distancing will be enforced, there will be more to follow on that. Masks, will be required if social distancing cannot be accomplished. Team attendance must be logged and positive cases of COVID-19 must be reported.
We are currently reviewing the field layouts and crowd control measures required to create a safe environment for everyone. Please know in advance that space for spectators will be limited and field access will monitored. People with underlying conditions are asked to stay home. Spectators maybe limited to immediate family, and to only those needed to accompany minor children.
Please make yourself familiar with all the IYSA and State of Illinois requirements. Full cooperation and compliance with them must be maintained. We strongly encourage you to share these requirements with your families prior to the tournament. Coaches and Clubs will be asked to monitor their families and ensure they too comply. Finally, space in this year’s tournament will be limited. While a final number is still being determined, we encourage all interested teams to register as soon as possible. Registration is now open:
